“It is with great sadness and grief that my cousin Isabel Granada peacefully joined our creator at 18:00 today with the comfort of the family,” Joseph Rivera said in a Facebook post.
Naku mga ka-chika. Talagang ang buhay hindi natin puwedeng hulaan. Isabel Granada, the daugther of Humberto Granada, a Filipino chief marine engineer, and Isabel Villarama, a Spanish homemaker, has died.
A FAMAS-awardee in 1998 for her supporting role in “Ligaya ang Itawag Mo sa Akin ” starring Rosana Roces, it was a big deal from someone who got her start as a member of That’s Entertainment’s Tuesday group in 1986.
After a two-year break from show business after giving birth to her son, she resumed in 2007 working with GMA Network.
On October 25, 2017, Granada fell into a coma after experiencing six cardiac arrests while on a business trip to Qatar with her husband. She was rushed to the Heart Hospital of the Hamad Medical Corporation and was later transferred to Hamad General Hospital. She had suffered from internal bleeding and aneurysm. Granada died on November 4, 2017, at age 41.
Rest in peace Isabel.
