Re-affirm your pride of being a Filipino. "Magkaisa"

The songs reverberated on all corners of the Manila Cathedral yesterday as the funeral mass for former President Cory Aquino was held. Images of People Power during Edsa 1 was flashing through my head as I remembered how proud I was at that very moment that I am a Filipino.

We all felt that change was coming. As Tessie Tomas said during an interview with Korina Sanchez yesterday as she recalled talking to her relatives during People Power Revolution, “Nagbabago ang gobyerno natin.” This is a moment of change for all Filipinos. Speak up. No government shall be powerful enough to topple the Power of the People. We are a nation under God and protected by the mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Tita Cory Aquino showed us that we can speak up and not be oppressed anymore. Let’s do our share to help the country move towards the right direction.

If voting on the upcoming election would show your share and respect for our late President, register now. Let your voice be heard and let our government know that you will never stand on the sidelines and watch them steal from our people. Show them that you will never grieve Tita Cory’s passing without knowing the legacy she left us. FREEDOM.

Watch the stars who provided us the gentle reminder of that FREEDOM through their rendition of very powerful songs that were very crucial to toppling a dictator. Let us UNITE once again to make a better future for our country. Mahirap, mayaman, babae, o lalake – walang pinipili ang demokrasya. Lahat tayo ay puwedeng magbigay ng kontribusyon.
